#Incontinence can have on a person’s life – severe #incontinence can bring shame, and embarrassment, and can greatly affect a person’s quality of life.
But that doesn’t mean that these are the only sufferers.
Far from it. While #incontinence can have very negative effects for many, there are even more people who live with the subtle impact that it imparts – slowly, but steadily, weaving it’s way into a person’s everyday life until the coping mechanisms they develop make their former life unrecognizable. In fact, there are many people who have learned how to cope with #incontinence so well that they don’t even realize they are doing it. Always ensuring they are close to a bathroom when they are out, limiting their fluids, packing an extra change of clothes “just in case” – these are the little changes that people make everyday that suddenly become a part of who they are.
NAFC works every day to educate the public about #incontinence, and to show people that they don’t have to let it have an effect on their lives. In addition to education, we offer support through a community of people who know what sufferers are going through, because they suffer too. And, NAFC is a leading advocate for those touched by #incontinence and fights to ensure that everyone has access to quality care and #incontinence care products.
Right now, we need your help.
NAFC relies heavily on contributions from donors like you to develop free resources, education, and support for those touched by #incontinence.
